Our commitment

Gridspec Lighting is committed to making gridspeclighting.com usable by as many people as possible, including people with disabilities and people who use assistive technology. We design in light; we want information about it to be just as easy to take in.

The standard we work to

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more usable for people who are blind or have low vision, who are deaf or hard of hearing, or who have mobility, cognitive or other disabilities.

What we have done

• Meaningful images have text alternatives, and purely decorative lighting effects are hidden from screen readers.
• Pages use a clear heading structure and descriptive titles, and form fields have visible labels.
• Links and icon buttons, including social media icons, have accessible names.
• Text colors are chosen for sufficient contrast, and the site can be navigated with a keyboard.
• Animated lighting effects stop when your device is set to reduce motion.
• We review new pages for accessibility before they are published.

Known limitations

Despite our efforts, some content may not yet fully meet our standard. In particular, some third-party content, such as forms provided by other services and manufacturer cut sheets or PDF documents, is outside our direct control. If you need any of this information in another format, contact us and we will provide it.

How we check

We assess the site ourselves using automated testing tools and manual checks, including keyboard-only navigation and screen reader testing. The site is designed to work with current versions of major browsers and with common assistive technologies such as VoiceOver and NVDA.

Feedback and requests

We welcome your feedback. When you contact us, please tell us the page address, what you were trying to do, and the problem you ran into. We aim to reply within two business days. If we cannot fix a problem right away, we will work with you to provide the information or service you need another way.
